Ongoing project making a functioning video player with an ESP32 and cheap LCD display. ESP32s are cheap but limited. By ripping a standard video file into MJPEG video and open source sound files and reading off a micro SD card I made a functioning video play for >$10 per player.
Eventual goal is to make a pocket sized device that just plays the classic film "Repo Man" when you need it,
