Optical Bench

Precise, robust optical benches for measuring lens focal lengths and prototyping optical devices are very expensive and often could not accommodate the larger lenses I have harvested from old camera lenses, photocopiers, and obsolete developing equipment.
Lens holders were designed in Fusion and Inkscape, cut from ABS on a 40 Watt laser cutter. Base plate is a length of 80/20 extrusion with a moveable measuring tape. Total materials cost of under $50.
